Earlier this year I wanted a Treo 600. I tried it out and liked it but didn’t want to spend that much money on a 160×160 screen, so I got an older Treo 270… and I’m happy with it, but wish I had all those more advanced features. I heard rumors of the Treo 610, but that didn’t pan out. This week I just heard of the new Treo coming out in September from very very reliable sources… but I’m sworn not to mention any specifics, like a 320×320 screen, etc… So you didn’t hear that from me…
Both my cats have been having problems with fleas… and the other flea meds that got just weren’t working. I gave them a bath a few days ago and that seemed to get rid of some, but they are still scratching a bit, though alot less. I friend of mine told me he used those same meds and they didn’t do anything, so he used Advantage and it totally worked… So I decided to go ahead and get some… It was a little pricey, but I think it’ll be worth it.
When I applied it to them, they seemed normal, then after a few minutes, they seemed like they are feeling a little different. My smaller black and white one, “Lil Blacki” gave me a scare when she started salivating. I got worried if she’ll be okay. The package did say salivation may occur, and she seem fine now that I’m giving her a little more lovin’… So I think she’ll be okay…
I hope it really works.
I discovered this vegetable that I’ve never heard of before call Strawberry Spinach or Beetberry. I’m thinking of getting some seeds and trying it out.

Oh what a busy day it was… I took some work home yesterday, but I still had alot to do, so I got up really early to get to work. I didn’t know that the sun is already up at 5:30am. At least I got a parking space in the car pool parking lot.
I’m working of this big extranet site for Visa, so there was so many components to the site – thumbnail of marketing pieces that banks can order, sample photos, word documents, pdfs, etc. I was pretty much working of it straight from 7:30am-4pm. I thought I could leave early, but I had two other jobs that also were due to the client today. So I got off my regular time at 5:30.
Surprisingly, there was hardly a line at the carpool line; way different that the line of around 40 people in front of me.
I got home and watered some of my plants. The pak choy I planted on Sunday are already sprouted and have their primary leaves already. I also transplanted the broccoli and lettuce (sowed in 6 packs) into the garden bed. I started gardening late this year (it’s the first time I’ve been able to do vegetable gardening since high school)… I don’t think it’s really the right time of the year to plant them, but I don’t care… I got the seed packs for 10 cents and I just want to see them grow… and also I just want to get back into gardening again.
It’s trash day tomorrow so, I’mma take out the trash. I also got a load of laundry in the dryer and I just bleached the bathtub… I’ll scrub it down after I fold my laundry.
I started today (Sunday) doing some gardening in the back. I planted 2 mini rows of Pak Choy (about a dozen plants), and took some pics of my vegetable beds. My aunts and uncle came by and they picked some pears and peaches from our tree. I didn’t realize how much fruit one pear tree can have. They had a grocery bag filled to the top with pears and there’s still alot on the tree as well as the ones that are over ripe and have dropped.
Around 1 or so I headed out to meet Scratch for lunch and movies. We quickly ate at Fuddruckers in Emeryville (it was my first time there) and watched Spiderman 2 at AMC Bay Street 16… which was just okay for me.
We then picked Slots up and headed to SF International Airport to pick up Twin from his trip from China and Philippines. Before going back to their place, we passed by Fremont to see the 4 bedroom house that Slots’ sister was renting… They wanted to see what they all think of maybe moving in there. I happened to see 2 pots of Christmas Cactus that looked almost dead and asked Slots if I can take it and see if I can revive them… so I did.
When we finally got to their home, Twin got his sutcase filled with “pasalubong” (gifts from a trip) for us :) I got a tea cup and some tea from China, some Philippine chocolate, some bracelets and a JayR’s “Gameface” CD :) Thanks Twin.
Thursday, as I reading the paper in the carpool line, I read that a Filipino OFW was kidnapped by Iraqi insurgents, who threatened to behead him if the Philippines does not withdraw its contingents within 72 hours. During dinner, we watched a discussion about this manner and my heart started beating faster.
It made my blood boil when I first heard of the first beheading, then the second, then the third. The images in my head of someone getting killed that way just gets me so angry. It’s not like in the movies where the head just snaps off… It takes alot of work… and I’m sure these kidnappers don’t try to make it painless. ARGH!… And to think, they broadcast the act, and in the case of the Korean man, I believe they stuffed explosives in his body and dumped it and his head close to troops, in the hopes that it would blow them up… I’m mad right now!
I pray for Angelo de la Cruz’s safety and hope his life is spared. I also pray for his wife and eight kids back in the Philippines who he is supporting.
